Sporting legends to be remembered in inaugural memorial cup at New Douglas Park

Hamilton Accies Football Club are proud hosts of the first ever Sean Graham International Memorial Trophy in aid of three Scottish charities.Held in memory of Scotland football fan, writer Sean Graham, Celtic legend Jinky Johnstone, Rangers hero Fernando Ricksen and Scottish Rugby idol Doddie Weir, the event will see Renfrewshire United Old Firm Select take on the Famous Tartan Army Magazine/Scotland Legend Select at the ZLX Stadium, New Douglas Park, on Sunday, June 4.The inaugural match will raise funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, Beatson Cancer Charity and the Hamilton Accies Community Trust, whilst also remembering the four brave personalities who each fought their own battle, Jinky, Fernando and Doddie with Motor Neurone Disease and Tartan Army member Sean with cancer.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
