A special candlelight show featuring some of the best movie and TV soundtracks performed live by a string quartet at Manchester Cathedral will take place later this month.
Candlelight: 100 Years of Warner Bros will take fans on a nostalgic musical journey as they relieve some of their favourite songs from classics The Wizard of Oz, Singin’ in the Rain, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Two concerts, which will also feature renditions of popular TV shows like Scooby-Doo and Friends, will take place on August 25 with performances from the Bloomsbury String Quartet. Commemorating 100 years of the Hollywood studios founded by Albert, Sam, Harry and Jack Warner, the event promises to be a big hit with movie fans wanting to experience their nostalgia in a unique, beautiful setting.
The event will also feature songs from Batman, A Star Is Born, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. “The “Candlelight: 100 Years of Warner Bros.” concert series is a true celebration of storytelling, music, and creativity,” said Peter van Roden, SVP, Warner Bros.
