South Lanarkshire councillors have condemned those behind graffiti and say it ruins the appearance of neighbourhoods.Councillor Davie McLachlan (Hamilton North and East) and councillor Robert Brown (Rutherglen South) are urging people to stop the anti-social behaviour that can present a poor image of local areas.Councillor McLachlan, the chair of the council’s Housing and Technical Resources Committee, said: “Graffiti not only detracts from the overall appearance of an area, presenting the perception of a neglected neighbourhood, but it can also cause upset and offence to many.
