A plane carrying almost 200 people has smashed into a wall at an airport and burst into flames killing everyone on board except for two passengers.

Fire authorities in South Korea fear all people on board the Boeing 737 bar two have been killed, making this one of the worst air disasters of all time.

The aircraft has smashed into a wall at Muan International Airport in South Korea some 288 miles away from Seoul. It was also carrying six flight attendants and appeared to have careered off the runway.

The Mirror reports that two people have been pulled from the wreckage alive while fire crews were desperately battling to save more.
