Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists he would rather have 'a hole in his squad than an a------e' after discussing his squad rebuild.
Solskjaer has discarded several players in their late 20s or early 30s through permanent and loan transfers and the pre-season was dominated by Inter Milan's interest in Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku, 26 at the time he was sold to Inter in the summer, grew frustrated by his lack of playing time and was joined at the San Siro by expensive flop Alexis Sanchez on loan.
