Smart car driver plummets 35ft in horror fall after thinking lift was parking space

READ MORE: EXCLUSIVE 'Frightened' Putin 'getting closer to launching nuclear strike' warns ex-RAF chief Miraculously she managed to get herself free of the car, which landed upside down at the bottom.From deep in the pit, she was able to call firefighters for help and two rescuers were then able to climb down and fetch the stranded woman.She was lifted back up on a stretcher and received first aid afterwards.A spokesperson for Stuttgart Fire Department said: "The woman was able to climb out of her Smart and make an emergency call with her cell phone."In a statement acquired by Newsflash, Daniel Anand, a Press and Public Relations Officer said: "After being rescued from the elevator shaft, the person was handed over to the rescue service and taken to a hospital for further treatment."Speaking to Germany’s Bild newspaper, the driver said: “I have no idea how that could have happened.
Physically, I'm fine again." The elevator was unsurprisingly taken out of service and the door of the shaft sealed shut, The Mirror reports.
