Sky Sports release statement over coronavirus and major changes to TV coverage

Sky Sports have released a statement with regards to how they are approaching rescheduling their broadcasting schedules following several postponements to the sporting calendar amid coronavirus fears.

The Premier League, along with the EFL and the FA, announced they would be pushing all fixtures back until April 3 as the Covid-19 pandemic continues.

The England cricket team’s tour to Sri Lanka has also been called off, as well as next month’s Masters, the opening Formula 1 Grand Prix, the NBA season and many more.

The postponements will cause many gaps in Sky’s scheduling for live events and subsequent highlights packages. And the broadcasting giants have released a statement to explain how they will cover the events when they go ahead in
