Sir David Attenborough has quit Instagram just two months after launching an account to spread an environmental message. The legendary broadcaster signed up to networking site back in September, with the intention of educating users about the drastic impact of climate change as he continued his life's work on social media.
However just two months after creating his page, the 94-year-old's account now states 'no longer active' in the biography section.
The takedown comes after Sir David broke records on the platform by becoming the fastest page to gain a million followers. Sir David reached the feat in just four hours and 44 minutes - beating the record previously held by Jennifer Aniston's five hours and 16 minutes.
