‘Simpsons’ episode pulled after Donald Trump’s attempted assassination

in the UK on Sunday, July 14, as part of a Season 7 marathon, per The Independent.Instead, it was quietly replaced by an episode from Season 30, “Baby You Can’t Drive”, which follows Marge and Homer as they work at a company that makes self-driving cars.On Saturday, the former president, 78, was at a campaign rally in Butler, Pa, when a gunman on a roof fired shots, clipping Trump in the ear, killing a volunteer firefighter in the crowd, and gravely wounding two others.
The gunman, who was killed by Secret Service snipers, has since been identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks. According to voter status records, Crooks was a registered Republican.
He reportedly purchased 50 rounds of ammunition before taking aim at the former president. It’s also been reported that he was once rejected from joining his high school shooting club.
