In her exclusive column for OK!, former Atomic Kitten singer and reality star Kerry Katona has firmly backed Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump for the big job - and expressed her shock at the assassination attempt on the politician during a recent rally in Pennsylvania. “I can’t believe the Donald Trump shooting, I think it’s crazy”, she opened up. “I know it’s controversial, but I really like him.

I don’t agree with everything he says but I do like him for the most part.” And Kerry - speaking before he quit the race for the White House yesterday - was also swift to share her thoughts about President Joe Biden. “I think he’s much better than Joe Biden - I could run America better than him”, she declared. “I’m not sure how the Secret Service allowed the shooter in - there should have been better measures to ensure nothing like that can happen.

Hopefully Donald is OK!” Straight-talking presenter Piers Morgan shared his feelings on his Instagram after the shocking incident saying: “Just woke up to the horrifying news that President Trump was nearly assassinated.

A shocking, terrible assault on American democracy.” Trump narrowly escaped death on July 13th at the Butler, PA campaign rally when a bullet grazed his ear.
