Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. SIMON Cowell has said he "didn't read the manual" before breaking his back during a terrifying fall that almost left him paralysed.

Simon, 60, needed six hours of surgery, and missed injuring his spinal cord by a centimetre during the accident witnessed by his son Eric, six, and his partner Lauren Silverman’s teenage lad Adam.

The music boss broke his silence on Twitter last night and confessed he hadn't been fully versef on how to use the electric bike before taking to the road.

Simon wrote on Twitter: " Some good advice… "If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time."I have broken part of my back.
