Legendary illusionist Siegfried Fischbacher, one half of the celebrated Siegfried and Roy duo, has died. The 81-year-old died from cancer at his home in Las Vegas on Wednesday, German news agency dpa reported.
His publicist Dave Kirwan confirmed the sad news and stated that his funeral service would be private but that there were plans for a public memorial in the future.
Siegfried’s death comes less than a year after Roy Horn died from COVID-19 complications. The German illusionist, along with his partner Roy became world-famous for their daring magical acts, which often revolved around their pet tigers, along with their outlandish costumes.
