Join thousands of others who have signed up for the Daily Record newsletter.High street shops threw open their doors yesterday (Monday) as they welcomed shoppers for the first time in three months.Stores with on street access in Dumbarton, Alexandria, Balloch and Helensburgh can now open to the public after they were closed at the beginning of the coronavirus lockdown in March.The rain didn’t stop residents visiting shops, including Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch yesterday.Pubs, restaurants and hairdressers across West Dunbartonshire will also soon finally be able to reopen their doors.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon revealed new dates during stage two of the government routemap out of lockdown - including permission for hospitality.
