Believed to be an elaborate gangland trap, the gunman fired twice at around 9pm on the evening of February 4, 2018.The victim was hit in the knee at close range and was rushed to hospital to be treated for gunshot injuries to his leg.
The gunman and an accomplice travelled from Liverpool to Salford in a car which was later torched. After the shooting, they returned to Liverpool by taxi, an investigation found.Police say the gunman is still at large and revealed they are still looking to trace the culprit.
