Sex crime, drugs and knife offences have increased while there has been a drop in serious assaults and robberies, according to the latest police figures.Police Scotland statistics show the number of serious assaults fell by almost nine percent in the West Dunbartonshire and Argyll division between 2018/19 and 2019/20.There were 17 cases of robbery and assault with intent to rob in 2019/20, 10 fewer than in the previous 12-month period.However, the number of sexual crimes recorded jumped from 184 to 223.This includes 51 instances of rape compared to 37 last year, and 55 crimes of sexual assault compared to 38.There has also been a rise in the number of offences recorded for carrying of offensive weapons and the supply of drugs, which chiefs
