Officers swooped at 18 homes around the town yesterday (Tuesday) and arrested 10 men aged between 22 and 44 on suspicion of drugs supply and money laundering.
Three of those arrested have been bailed pending further investigations but seven have been charged and remanded in custody.
All of those still in custody are due to appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Thursday, March 18) charged with conspiracy to supply class-A drugs, and conspiracy to acquire, use, or possess criminal property.
