The search has finally concluded at a house in Stockport - almost a week after homes were evacuated and police said they had uncovered 'hazardous materials'.
A major incident was declared as a scene was put in place around Middleton Road in Reddish and neighbouring streets. Officers began the search of a house.
A property continued to be searched as hazardous materials had to be removed and disposed of in a 'controlled' and 'isolated' location, GMP said. He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance at Manchester Magistrates tomorrow (June 8).
