Scots are being warned of scammers who are selling tickets for the sold-out Edinburgh New Year's Eve celebrations to obtain personal details and money.Tickets are being advertised online and on Facebook for the popular Hogmany street party and for the concert in the West Princes Street Gardens.Many residents claim they have been scammed when trying to purchase tickets.Organisers of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay confirmed on December 30 that all events on 31 December including the Concert in the Gardens, the World-Famous Street Party, Candlelit Concert in St Giles’ and the Festival of Ceilidhs ‘Countdown to Hogmanay’ are totally sold out, reports Edinburgh Live.Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable so you are unable to purchase one from anywhere other than Ticketmaster and the official site.Police Scotland warned residents that they can only purchase tickets through official vendors and not to turn up on the night without a ticket as the events are now sold out.The Met Office forecast for the three days of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations is currently showing low temperatures as expected at this time of year with a light breeze.A spokesperson for Edinburgh's Hogmanay told Edinburgh Live: "Events on 31 December are now sold out, with limited availability for events on 30 December and 1 January."Tickets for Edinburgh's Hogmanay are strictly nonrefundable, exchangeable or transferable and only valid if purchased from edinburghshogmanay.com and Ticketmaster."Superintendent David Robertson also said: “We would remind the public that the Street Party is a sold-out ticketed event and as such, if you do not have a ticket, please do not attend.“We would also advise the public that tickets are only valid if purchased from a reputable
