Highlands beauty spot. Staff at the Mar Lodge Estate, in the Cairngorms National Park, found the plastic food wrapping for the ham and cheese delight underneath a rock on Sunday.
Shockingly, the packet was in surprisingly good condition despite having an expiry date of March 23, 1992 - almost three decades ago.
Sharing a picture of the find, the National Trust for Scotland site have urged visitors to behave responsibly with their rubbish.
They said: “Found this sandwich wrapper under a rock today on the estate. Use by 23.3.92.“Twenty-nine years later it is still sitting there intact.
