A teenager has been fully committed for trial over the alleged attempted murder of a schoolboy. The 17-year-old is said to have tried to kill the 14-year-old, neither of whom can be named for legal reasons, in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, last month.The suspect, of Kilmarnock, made his second court appearance over the case at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday.
He made no plea to the single charge he faces - assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and attempted murder. - during Thursday's private hearing.
He was locked up over the allegations at his first court hearing on October 26.And on Thursday he was again remanded in custody over the claims.
No future court dates have been set, but he is expected to go on trial at some point next year.Four other youngsters have also been arrested and charged over the incident.
