Scots teen struck and killed by train 'was trying to save animal'

A "kind and loving" Scots teen who died after being hit by a train was trying to rescue an injured animal from the tracks.A close family friend of Joseph Willcocks revealed that the selfless teen was trying to save the animal from the train line near Dunfermline, Fife on Wednesday last week.

The moving train hit the schoolboy, believed to be 17 years old, with a "glancing" blow as he tried to run off the tracks. Emergency services scrambled to the line at around 2pm on November 3.But the impact proved to be too severe and Joseph was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.Following speculation over the circumstances surrounding Joseph's death, family friend Steven Manderson took to social media on Saturday to clarify what happened.He
