A petrified Edinburgh mum watched as her five-year-old daughter's bedroom filled with thick smoke when a fire was set on the landing of their block of flats.
Natalia Ruszkowska lives in a 9th floor flat of Castleview House in Moredun, one of four high rise flats that are continuously targeted by fires, according to Edinburgh Live.
The 30-year-old fears she and her disabled child will be trapped in the property if another blaze occurs, as her daughter requires a wheelchair and the lifts often fail to work - making it almost impossible for them to get down the nine flights of stairs to escape.
She has previously had to wake her little one in the middle of the night due to fires being started in the building, with no choice but to barricade
