A man has been arrested as part of a probe into former funeral directors in Glasgow and Dumbarton.Police Scotland say a 56-year-old man was arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation and released pending further enquiries.
It follows action earlier this month when a 55-year-old was arrested following raids in and around Glasgow on July 22. Officers searched homes in the city's Springburn area and the suburb of Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, where a number of items which officers believe are relevant to the investigation were seized.
The woman was also released from custody as officers continue to investigate the goings-on at A. Milne Independent Funeral Directors.
The probe, named Operation Koine, into the funeral directors was launched following numerous reports of missing ashes and funds used for pre-paid funeral plans.
