Counter-terrorism detectives have four more days to question a Manchester man after an attack on a business. Police were seen on Highcroft Avenue, in Didsbury, throughout the weekend as a property was searched by officers.
Officers arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
He is one of 10 people arrested following an attack at a business premises in South Gloucestershire last week. Avon and Somerset Police responded to an incident at defence technology firm Elbit Systems UK in the early hours of Tuesday, August 6.
In an update issued this morning (August 13), Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) confirmed a warrant of further detention against the Manchester man has been granted by magistrates.
