A man and a woman were treated for smoke inhalation after a home erupted into flames in south Manchester on Thursday evening (August 29).
Police, paramedics and fire crews raced to the scene of the blaze on Wilbraham Road, near Chorlton. Witnesses reported seeing emergency services blocking the road with a number of police cars and fire engines in attendance.
A fire at a house, near the junction of Morville Road, had broken out shortly before 6pm. Areas around the upstairs windows had been left charred by the flames. READ MORE Boy rushed to hospital after suffering cardiac arrest at trampoline park The cause of the fire has not been confirmed.
The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said three fire engines attended before firefighters treated two people for smoke inhalation at the scene.
