Scotland’s oldest man and World War II veteran Jimmy Sinclair has sadly died at the age of 107. Tributes have poured in for the war hero after he passed away at his home in Kirkcaldy, Fife, on Wednesday, May 27.

Jimmy, who served as a gunner with the elite Chestnut Troop of the 7th Armoured Division in North Africa, lived a fascinating life and was the last surviving Desert Rat.

The pensioner, who celebrated his last birthday with a dram and a bowl of porridge, included Prince Charles and wife Camilla as personal friends.
