Ex-Scotland rugby captain Stuart Hogg was arrested at his estranged wife’s house hours after being pictured partying with celebs at the Calcutta Cup.Hogg, 31, was arrested over allegations he caused fear and alarm by acting in a threatening or abusive manner at his former family home in Hawick, Roxburghshire on Sunday afternoon, February 25 at around 5pm.The night before, the rugby hero had mingled with celebrity pals in the hospitality zone at Murrayfield after Scotland defeated England in a Six Nations showdown.Hogg shared pictures on his Instagram page, saying: “What a day.

What a result. Cracking performance from the lads.”It is believed that Hogg was taken to the town’s police station after officers were called to attend the address.

He was later released and a report submitted to prosecutors ahead of an expected court appearance at a date still to be determined.Hogg split from his wife Gillian, 36, before going public with his new love, former jockey Leonna Mayor, 33.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.40pm on Sunday, 25 February, police were called to an address in Hawick.“A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged.
