Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Celtic title canters over Rangers won't help in this race as Ibrox hero claims BOTH are nip and tuck novices

Rangers legend Lee McCulloch admitted he’s bracing himself for another dramatic last-day title decider.But the former Ibrox hero has shrugged off suggestions Celtic’s serial winners hold a key advantage over Philippe Clement’s Gers.

The Hoops are no strangers to success having lifted 11 of the last 12 domestic crowns. Meanwhile, Rangers' only recent taste of league glory came in 2021 but it was hardly a stomach-churning battle given they romped to Premiership victory with six games to spare.Two years on, only seven members of Steven Gerrard’s Invincibles squad remain at Ibrox.

But McCulloch is confident the lack of league-winning experience won’t count against his old side - because no-one at Parkhead has been forced to fight all the way to the finish line either.
