The upcoming action movie The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard will be hitting theaters earlier than expected, though the release date change was expected by industry insiders.
The film, starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, was previously scheduled to be released on August 20.
Then, Disney decided to put Ryan‘s other action comedy movie Free Guy on the schedule for August 13. Instead of having the two movies compete with each other during the August month, Lionsgate has decided to move The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard to June 16.
