Manchester United’s share price suffered its biggest fall since being listed on the New York Stock Exchange in August 2012 this week.
More than £600m was wiped off its value amid reports that the Glazers are leaning towards a no-sale, despite exploring a potential sale since last November.
Both Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe have gone through multiple rounds of bidding and are none the wiser about the prospect of their offers.
Speculation suggests that the fact the club has not been sold yet indicates neither offer met the Glazers’ valuation and so the American family could stay put.
