Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford showed off her birthday surprise for her son Jack’s girlfriend on her 21st birthday on her Instagram.The TV presenter went all out, dressing her home for the milestone birthday in a heartwarming gesture to Jack’s girlfriend as she filmed the details of the table set-up.

With pink and silver themed decorations including balloons and confetti scattered across the table, fresh flowers in vases, candles, themed plates, and even a badge for the 21 year old, Ruth made sure her son’s partner felt like part of the family as they celebrated the special day.

Ruth also revealed the pile of gifts and birthday cake she got, complete with large ‘21’ candles on the cake that the birthday girl is seen blowing out at the end of the video, with the caption: "Jack’s girlfriend’s 21st birthday….had to do a table didn’t I?!!" Ruth is no stranger to setting a beautiful table and has previously revealed they’re something of a family tradition.

Earlier this year, Ruth shared a similar set up that she’d done to celebrate Jack’s own 21st, with silver and gold decorations, oversized silver ‘21’ balloons, and confetti to celebrate his big day, saying: “A wonderful weekend spent celebrating our son Jack’s 21st birthday….where did those years go?!!!
