TV presenter Ruth Langsford has returned to daytime chat show Loose Women for the first time since she took a break following the announcement of her split from husband Eamonn Holmes.

Ruth has been away from the show for two months, but the 64 year old has decided the time is right to return to the popular series.

On Monday 22 July’s episode of Loose Women, Ruth hosted the show with Brenda Edwards, Coleen Nolan and Janet Street Porter. As the show began, Coleen halted it to express her delight that Ruth was back, as the audience cheered.

She turned to Ruth after her two-month break and said: "Wait, wait, wait, before you carry on can I just say, I'm so, so happy that you're back." Janet replied "Thank god!" as Ruth commented that "I won't do it again," and added it was "very nice to be back with you all," while looking thrilled to be there.
