Ruth Langsford (born 17 March 1960 in Singapore) is an English television presenter of shows such as This Morning, Gift Wrapped and How the Other Half Lives. Langsford is an anchor on ITV's lunchtime chat show Loose Women and presents Ruth Langsford's Fashion Edit on QVC. She took part in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she came ninth. She is currently the longest serving female presenter of This Morning. Ruth currently is more frequently known for her exclusive fashion collection, for British fashion label QVC. After being approached to curate a collection, Langsford signed a multi million pound endorsement deal that spawned 19 sellout collections; 18 of which debuted at London Fashion Week Women’s Collection.

Ruth Langsford, 62, has ended her social media absence this week, explaining to her followers that she has been ill with the "lurgy" for the last three days.This comes as her husband Eamonn Holmes, 62, shared an update on his disc surgery, in a bid to help his chronic pain.Ruth took to Instagram in view of her one million Instagram followers to post the short video update.The presenter had been inactive on the social media site since the beginning of the week when she did a memory walk with the Alzheimer's charity.Explaining her absence, Ruth captioned the short video: "After three days in bed with the Lurgy, I'm up and back at work!"See you 7.00 - 9.00pm @qvcuk."Ruth posed for the mirror selfie, alongside her bags in a lift as she prepared for her working day.The Loose Women star's update comes as her husband Eamonn shared details on his "risky" chronic pain surgery.Last week, Eamonn told how he was planning to take time out from his TV presenting responsibilities to have surgery in a bid to help his battle with chronic pain.Eamonn has bravely documented his battle with the condition over the years, including his multiple efforts to relieve the pain.After breaking the news of his operation, the star gave an insight into how long he'll need to recover after the "risky" surgery.Amid his absence from GB News, Twitter user @Nella97_ wrote: "GB News Breakfast isn't the same without Eamonn."Hope you'll be back soon, speedy recovery @EamonnHolmes and the best partnership alongside @IsabelWebster_ #GBNEWS," he added.Eamonn replied: "Thank u Nella."I'll need a week to let my back heal.x"The same social media user penned: "Get well soon, coming back better and stronger," alongside a row of hearts.It comes after the former This.
