Sir Bob Geldof didn't hold back when Russell Brand presented him with an award at the NME Awards ceremony in 2006. The footage has resurfaced online following last night's Channel 4 Dispatches documentary which looked into the allegations made by four women against Russell Brand, said to have taken place between 2006 and 2013, writes The Mirror.
In the documentary – which was the result of a join investigation between Dispatches and The Times – Brand is accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse.
Before the show aired, Brand made a statement on his YouTube channel in which he strongly 'refuted' the 'criminal' and 'very serious' allegations and insisted any relationships he has had have been consensual.
And the Bob Geldof clip was shown in the documentary which took viewers back to a time period of the former Big Brother's Big Mouth presenter's height of fame.The clip from the 2006 NME Awards shows Russell presenting Sir Bob Geldof with an award, but deliberately mispronouncing Sir Bob's name.
