He used to play for the club alongside the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid and his name continues to be discussed with his current team flying both domestically in Germany and in the Europa League.However, Amorim's name has come up as a possible choice for Liverpool, along with Roberto De Zerbi from Brighton and Julian Nagelsmann, who coaches Germany's national team.
It had been claimed over the weekend that if Liverpool can't get Alonso, they might try for Amorim instead. But the Sporting gaffer has now talked about these stories.
