Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow as Ibrahima Konate will miss the clash against Manchester City at Anfield. The 24-year-old handed the Reds a major scare on Thursday night after limping off moments into the second half of the 5-1 Europa League round-of-16 first leg win at Sparta Prague.
Konate pulled what appeared to be his hamstring but was able to walk off unaided after the incident. On Friday afternoon, Jurgen Klopp said: "Ibou, I don't know.
Ibou was rather positive last night, and thought he made the right decision in the right moment (to go off). That doesn't mean a lot, unfortunately.
He will get scanned definitely and so far I don't have the result of that yet."
