During his first state visit, King Charles attended a royal banquet with some of his German relatives also in attendance which is "significant", a royal expert said.

King Charles and Camilla, the Queen Consort arrived in Germany, Berlin on Wednesday for three days to start the King's first overseas state visit.This is the first state visit by a British monarch in eight years, the last was by the Queen in 2015.
On arrival, the monarch and his wife were greeted by a 21-gun salute and a fly-past by two fighter jets after they emerged from the ministerial plane Voyager and paused at the top of the steps.
