The outspoken Irishman was on duty for the mammoth title clash between City and current champions Liverpool earlier this month.
He was unimpressed with the defending of England star Kyle Walker who gave away a penalty for a foul on Reds attacker Sadio Mane.Keane branded the former Tottenham man "an idiot" before going on to say: "He’s a car crash, keeps making these types of mistakes and is rightly punished for it." And, according to the Daily Mail, senior figures at City felt that Keane, whose Premier League punditry is always close to the edge, overstepped the mark on this occasion.
