EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis has announced her groundbreaking new career move just weeks after quitting the BBC soap.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner has taken to instagram posting a lengthy statement about her exciting new project – a groundbreaking documentary about the daily challenges of being deaf.

The statement reads in part: “British actress and Strictly Come Dancing 2021 winner Rose Ayling-Ellis revealed the daily challenges, discrimination and barriers faced by deaf individuals, in a hard-hitting new 1x60’ documentary, Signs for Change (w/t).READ MORE: Strictly Come Dancing bosses sign up Paralympian Ellie Simmonds for BBC show“The documentary will allow Rose to explore the positive movement for societal change and inclusion for deaf individuals. “It will question if society is adapting fast enough to allow for equality amongst the deaf and gearing worlds by looking at Rose’s own experiences and encounters with people on the frontlines, pushing for change.”Rose went on to add her own feelings on the project, telling fans “it is high time that the realities of deaf people in the UK were shared with a wider audience.”Rose said: “This documentary will be a real, emotional and hard-hitting, and it is high time that the realities of deaf people in the UK were shared with a wider audience. “My hope is to encourage people to look at our attitude as a society and to reflect on how we can improve the lives of deaf people. “It will not paint me as an inspiration, but will instead life the lid on the gritty stuff that we desperately need to confront.” Fans flocked to comment to congratulate the star and share their views. “It’s going to be great.
