Rose Ayling-Ellis has announced a new TV project following her departure from BBC One soap EastEnders.The 27 year old actress, who recently shared a string of BTS snaps from her time on EastEnders, is set to front a new BBC documentary titled Signs For Change, which will focus on the daily challenges and barriers faced by deaf individuals.

Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose will explore "positive movement for societal change" and inclusion for deaf individuals, while also using her own experiences pushing for change.

Rose revealed the show will be "real, emotional and hard-hitting" in an official statement. "This documentary will be real, emotional and hard-hitting, and it is high time that the realities of deaf people in the UK were shared with a wider audience.

My hope is to encourage people to look at our attitude as a society and to reflect on how we can improve the lives of deaf people," she said. "It will not paint me as an inspiration, but will instead lift the lid on the gritty stuff that we desperately need to confront.
