The “wee bridge” route linking Hamilton and East Kilbride will close for resurfacing next week, with nearby residents being warned of potential significant delays during the course of the five-day project.Newhousemill Road will be shut from its junction with Muttonhole Road in Hamilton to its junction with Lismore in East Kilbride from 8am on Monday, January 27 – meaning there will be no traffic access across Newhousemill Bridge.Roads officials from South Lanarkshire Council say the essential resurfacing project is due to finish by 4pm the following Friday, January 31, “weather and resources permitting”.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
