Hulme will be closed to traffic in all directions until Sunday.The closure will allow resurfacing work to take place, as part of a £13.4 million 'CYCLOPS', standing for Cycle Optimised Protected Signals, project from the council.The work will also include the installation of new traffic lights.Subject to weather conditions, the junction will reopen on Monday.Designed to fully separate cyclists from general traffic, the 'CYCLOPS' junction will connect Chorlton to the city centre while also improving safety for all road users.The 5km route will run along Barlow Moor Road, Manchester Road, Upper Chorlton Road and Chorlton Road, with cyclists and pedestrians given priority over cars in key areas.Following the reopening of the Hulme junction,.
