Vanessa Morgan has slammed writers of international teen favourite Riverdale for undermining black actors and the characters they play.
The Canadian star has played the role of Toni Topaz on the show since series two. Using her Twitter page, she slammed the portrayal of black people in the television and film industry before taking a swipe at show bosses.
Venting to her 691,800 followers she said: "Tired of how black people are portrayed in media, tired of us being portrayed as thugs, dangerous or angry scary people. "Tired of us also being used as sidekick non-dimensional characters to our white leads. "Or only used in the ads for diversity but not actually in the show."
