The Chancellor will today unveil a multi-billion-pound jobs package as the biggest unemployment crisis in a generation brews.
Rishi Sunak will set out support for the young workers worst-hit by economic fall-out from the coronavirus pandemic. This includes £2billion to subsidise thousands of six-month work placements for 16 to 24-year-olds who are now facing long-term unemployment.
