Riley Keough says it was a challenge tapping into her family’s music legacy for her upcoming Prime Video series, Daisy Jones & The Six.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 33-year-old actress opened up about how despite being the daughter and granddaughter of popular musicians, she didn’t put extra pressure on herself because of that. Keep reading to find out more… Riley is the daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough, who were both musicians, and the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, which puts her in an extra special position as the titular character in the Prime Video series. “I certainly wouldn’t put that pressure on it.
I don’t know if there is continuing my grandfather’s legacy, it’s its own sort of thing to me. But it was a really fun experience for me,” Riley shared. “I’m not a musician — or I am now I guess.
I’ve been interested in film my whole life and so for me, it was more really loving to get to have a relationship with music in that way.” She added that music was still a big part of her life: “I’ve listened to music and my whole family are musicians and I’ve been around this world a lot and been on tour and all that kind of stuff, but I’d never really done it myself.
