Richarlison confirms Man Utd transfer bid and explains why he stayed at Everton
dailystar.co.ukManchester United failed in their attempts to sign Richarlison from Everton in the January transfer window - because the Brazilian did not want to leave the club midway through the season.The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona around that time but the player himself has admitted that a club closer to home was also interested.Richarlison joined the Toffees for £50million from Watford in 2018 and his stock has risen even further since moving to Goodison Park.The forward already has 19 caps for Brazil and helped them clinch the Copa America on home soil last summer.And he has netted 24 times in 66 appearances for Everton, including ten Premier League goals so far this season.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was desperate to sign more.
