A councillor has vowed to get the 'criminal poison' out of a north Manchester town after a 'targeted and reckless' shooting last night.
An investigation is underway after officers responded to reports of the suspected shooting on Rochdale Road in Harpurhey at around 11.20pm last night (Sunday).
It is thought that shots were fired at a property and no injuries were reported. However, police believe the shooting was 'targeted'.
A cordon was in place on Fernclough Road today while Tactical Aid Unit officers carried out investigations with sniffer dogs also used.
