The remarkable moment a group of locals lifted a car that was blocking traffic on a busy street in Edinburgh has been captured on video.
The 'surreal' scenes unfolded when several cars and buses became stuck behind a motionless vehicle half way down the city's Leith Walk, outside the Mousetrap pub, at around 6pm on Saturday, December 17.
After a while, passengers aboard one of the many buses which had ground to a halt behind the silver car, which appeared to be abandoned, noticed a group of around eight men begin to edge the silver car out the way so as to break the gridlock, reports EdinburghLive.
Footage taken at the scene shows drivers using the pavement at the side of the tram tracks to drive around the car and continue forwards.
