Recent 'Jeopardy' Champ Brayden Smith Dies Unexpectedly at 24

Brayden Smith, a recent contestant on Jeopardy who was a five-day champion, has died at the young age of 24. Smith‘s mother announced on Twitter that he died on February 5 in his hometown of Las Vegas.

She said, “We are heartbroken to share that our dear Brayden Smith recently passed away unexpectedly. We are so grateful that Brayden was able to live out his dream on @jeopardy.” Brayden was one of the final people to play Jeopardy with the late Alex Trebek as the host.
