Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to let Gareth Bale leave this summer on a free transfer. The Wales international has been linked with an exit from the Bernabeu for months but his hefty wage packet has proved to be a stumbling block.
He came close to joining Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning last summer before the deal collapsed at the last minute. Bale earns a reported £650,000-a-week and few other clubs can afford his wages, and even if they could his suspect injury record comes into question.
But Spanish publication Marca claim Zinedine Zidane does not want the winger in his squad for next season. And Los Blancos are willing to waive his transfer fee in order to get him off the wage bill.
